Subscribe to TriCom Podcasts

The main difference between a Podcast and any other plain ol’ media file on the web is that you can subscribe to Podcasts. You can enter a feed into a special program that checks for new episodes of a Podcast. These programs are technically called “aggregators” but are often called “Podcasting Catchers” or “Feed Readers.” You can also browse a Podcasting directory to find a show you like in one of the many directories out there. In fact, iTunes has a tremendous directory built right into the music store. With all this talk of “subscribing” and “stores,” don’t forget that most Podcasts (certainly ours) are free.

It is easy to subscribe to TriCom's Podcasts. If you wish, you can subscribe directly through our listing in iTunes. Or, you can use your iTunes program to subscribe to the graphically enhanced** version of the show or subscribe to the standard version of the show directly through the TriCom Podcast website. If you don't have iTunes on your computer, click here for a free download of the software.

Watching Our Graphically Enhanced" Podcasts

If you would like to view our "graphically enhanced" podcasts in iTunes, double-click the file in your library or in the podcasts playlist, just as you do with music. By default, the show plays in the song artwork and video viewer pane in the lower-left corner of the iTunes window (click the "Show or hide song artwork and video viewer" button if it's not displayed).

Here's what the default graphic playback looks like:

1. "Show or hide song artwork and video viewer" button.
2. Song artwork and video viewer.

If the bar above the song artwork and video viewer pane displays "Selected Song," click the bar so that it displays "Now Playing." To see our show play in a separate window, click the podcast in the song artwork and video viewer.

Any problems you might have with iTunes can be easily fixed by visting iTunes Support.

Please check back frequently, as podcasts from your favorite TriCom Podcast shows are added each Sunday.
